Position Overview

UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s is seeking skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) – Labor & Delivery for a travel assignment. This role requires strong clinical expertise in high-risk deliveries, as nurses perform extensive triage and assessments before physicians see patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced obstetric care for high-risk deliveries in a high-volume birthing center.
• Perform triage and patient assessments independently, as physicians are not onsite 24/7.
• Assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries, postpartum care, and fetal monitoring.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex maternal health conditions.
• Maintain EPIC STORK charting system for accurate documentation.
  
  

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN License or Compact RN License (Required)
• ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP Certifications (Required)
• Circulating experience (Required), Scrub experience (Preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume L&D unit (200–300 deliveries/month)
• EPIC STORK experience (Preferred)

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Strong adaptability and teamwork skills

• Locals accepted with 10% rate reduction (Must reside more than 60 miles from facility)
